Es uno de los movimientos judaicos más dinámicos y en expansión, con casi 3.000 instituciones en todo el mundo, dedicadas al bienestar del pueblo judío. Fiel a la Torá y la Halajá (Ley Judía), es parte del Movimiento Jasídico, fundado por el Baal Shem Tov (1698 - 1760). Jabad fue fundado hace alrededor de 250 años, por Rabí Schneur Zalman de Liadí - autor del Shulján Aruj Harav y del Tania entre otros textos (1740 - 1812). En la actualidad está inspirado por las enseñanzas del Rebe de Lubavitch, Rabí Menajem Mendel Schneerson.

Beit Jabad del Ecuador, como el resto de las casas Jabad en el mundo, fue fundada por iniciativa y con el aliento del Rebe de Luvabitch, para llegar a todo judío con simpatía y con un mensaje cálido y afectuoso de ayuda material y espiritual, y para fortalecer la unidad del pueblo de Israel.

La actividad de las casas de Jabad ayudan a miles de judíos que llegan a Ecuador. Entre ellos turistas, hombres de negocios y judíos para los cuales Ecuador es una estación intermedia en su camino.

La ayuda material y espiritual solicitada por los judíos del mundo y de la comunidad del Ecuador se brinda incondicionalmente y sin esperar retribución alguna.

La actividad de Beit Jabad del Ecuador no está financiada por ninguna organización oficial o gubernamental, y es posible exclusivamente gracias a la colecta de contribuciones.

Chabad House in Ecuador, like the rest of all Chabad houses around the world was established by initiative and encouragement of the Luvabitcher Rebbe with the purpose of reaching every Jew with a warm and caring message of material and spiritual assistance, in order to strengthen the unity of the People of Israel.

The activities of Beit Chabad help thousands of Jews who arrive to Ecuador, tourists, business men and others for whom Ecuador is a station in their journey.

The material and spiritual assistance requested by Jews of the world and by the Equatorial community and visitors is offered unconditionally and free of charge.

The activities of Beit Chabad Ecuador are not financed by any official o government organization but solely and independently through fund raising efforts.

בית חב"ד אקוודור כמו שאר בתי חב"ד ברחבי העולם, הוקם ביוזמתו ובעידודו של הרבי מליובאוויטש, על-מנת להגיע לכל יהודי במאור פנים עם מסר חם ואוהב של עזרה גשמית ורוחנית כאחד, ולחיזוק אחדותו של עם ישראל.

פעילות בתי חב"ד מסייעת לאלפי יהודים המגיעים לאקוודור. ביניהם מטיילים, אנשי עסקים או יהודים שאקוודור מהווה בשבילם תחנת ביניים אל היעד הבא.
